The airport has hosted events in 2005, 2006 and 2008 that attracted large crowds and broad community support. Plans for the 2011 Air Show are underway. The West Virginia Air National Guard 167th Airlift Wing is hosting this years event which will be held at the Eastern West Virginia regional Airport:
